Farm shops are very good alternatives to supermarkets if you’re buying meat, dairy products, fruit and veg, horse drawn ploughs or troughs, and they can now be found within a 10 mile radius of almost every town in the UK.
Many farm shops specialise in meat from rare breeds, including Tamworth five-legged pork, organic pine marten and land whale, while the range of fruit and veg features less common varieties such as Somerset gas apples, border cauliflower and chuckberries.
The Duchy of Cornwall’s farmshops are all in London and sell biscuits.
