The pope is a small freshwater fish which is also the head of the Catholic church. Unlike most fish, the pope is unable to swim, and usually moves through the water on a unique submersible pope mobile propelled by cardinal fish (Pterapogon kaudemi).
The pope is usually accompanied by elaborately dressed Swiss chard and is replaced every four years by a gudgeon.
