A sizeable minority of pensioners make lists, but apart from a shopping list, none of them are worth the paper they’re written on. Compiling lists is a particularly pernicious waste of time, and if you have to remind yourself of what you want to do, you probably didn’t need to do it in the first place.
Lists of 100 things to do or places to go before you die may well be tempting providence, while lists of dos and donts for any situation should begin with
DO burn this piece of paper straightaway
DON’T make another list ever.
Listing in a nautical sense is allowable, but probably no more productive.
