The five most common causes of headaches are:
1. Drinking too much.
2. Wearing hats that are too small.
3. Neighbours.
4. Falling from a cliff.
5. Listening to Songs of Praise.
Apart from 1 and 3, these distressing situations are easily avoided.
Although aspirin and paracetamol can be used to alleviate headaches, it’s certainly better to use traditional remedies such as holding an onion between your feet, stapling a bat to your ear or wrapping your head in dock leaves.
If the headache persists for more than 24 hours, you should consult your GP and then pop into the chemist on the way home.
